Support undergraduate and postgraduate workshop sessions in machining, manufacturing, welding, fitting, and fabrication.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot workshop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, CNC machines, welding sets, and power tools, 3D Printers, etc.
Prepare workshop materials, tools, raw materials, and job setups prior to practical classes.
Assist faculty in conducting experiments, demonstrations, and student projects.
Ensure strict compliance with workshop safety rules, SOPs, PPE usage, and emergency procedures.
Train and guide students on safe machine operation and good workshop practices.
Carry out routine maintenance, calibration, and minor repairs of workshop machines and instruments.
Maintain workshop records, logbooks, equipment usage registers, and maintenance documentation.
Manage inventory of tools, consumables, and spare parts; raise indent and purchase requests when required.
Ensure cleanliness, housekeeping, and proper layout of the workshop environment.
Support student projects, capstone projects, and research-related fabrication work.
Coordinate with procurement, stores, and maintenance departments as required.
Follow university policies, quality standards, and administrative instructions.
