The position

As a Market Access & Insurance Manager, you will have full ownership of the company\xe2\x80\x99s efforts to access and shape the private health insurance market and will act as the responsible person to create the necessary value communication tools to be used in the access efforts in the public sector for our strategic brands.

Private Health Insurance (PHI) accountabilities:

• Drive the access strategy and formulary addition in the PHI sector for Novo Nordisk\xe2\x80\x99s strategic brands, and upscale local capabilities in the PHI field by developing effective training programs
• Ensure seamless claims processing by acting as the internal contact person with claims management teams and prescribers for cases rejections by insurance companies
• Continuously monitor the PHI environment\xe2\x80\x99s developments, drive policy shaping efforts to ensure patients\xe2\x80\x99 access to innovation, and represent Novo Nordisk UAE in pharmaceutical trade associations around PHI priorities

Market Access and Health Economics accountabilities:

• Develop/localize Health Economics models supporting the value proposition for strategic Novo Nordisk brands, and build tailored key value messages to the needs of different external audiences
• Act as the local expert and drive the company\xe2\x80\x99s agenda regarding value-based healthcare, health technology assessment, and innovative contracting models (managed-entry agreements)

• Work with different functions to drive the pricing strategy and execution at list and net price level to maximize patients\xe2\x80\x99 access

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:

• Bachelor\'s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or biology; Post-graduate studies in Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Policy, or Business Administration is a plus

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including 2-3 years Market Access & Reimbursement experience in the UAE market
• Former experience with a private health insurance company is a strong plus
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including reimbursement authorities, insurance companies, regulators and policy makers
• Knowledge of the UAE healthcare landscape and regulatory environment
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in English, Arabic is a strong plus
