Job Summary:

We are a reputable Ship Survey and Hydraulic sales company in Dubai Maritime City looking to start a Marine Hydraulic repair division. We are looking for someone who can independently start this work with our support with a good knowledge of the UAE hydraulic repair industry including contacts with clients and the ability to get contracts and manage projects.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced

Marine Hydraulic Repair Lead

to oversee and execute the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of hydraulic systems on a variety of marine vessels. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of marine hydraulic systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead a small team of technicians while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise hydraulic repair operations on marine vessels including cranes, winches, steering systems, and hatch covers. Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic failures and malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, and testing equipment. Oversee disassembly, repair, and reassembly of hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, motors, hoses, and fittings. Ensure proper installation and testing of hydraulic systems and components after repairs. Coordinate and communicate with vessel engineers, shipyard supervisors, and clients regarding repair scope, timelines, and updates. Maintain detailed service reports, inspection logs, and documentation in compliance with industry standards. Train and mentor junior technicians in proper hydraulic maintenance and safety practices. Ensure all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality assurance standards are adhered to on every job site. Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and replacement parts necessary for repairs. Occasionally support fabrication and custom solutions for unique hydraulic challenges.

Qualifications:

Proven experience

(5+ years) in hydraulic repair, preferably in the marine industry. Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Marine, or Industrial Engineering (preferred). Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, schematics, and marine equipment. Experience with pressure testing, fluid analysis, and system flushing. Leadership experience in a hands-on role, preferably in a repair or shipyard environment. Ability to read technical drawings and service manuals. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Willingness to travel domestically or offshore for shipboard repairs, as needed. Ability to work in physically demanding environments including confined spaces and high elevations. Valid certifications in hydraulic systems, safety training (such as STCW, OSHA), and rigging/lifting (preferred).

Working Conditions:

Work may be conducted aboard ships, in shipyards, or at port facilities. May involve travel, long hours, and weekend work depending on repair schedules. Exposure to loud noises, marine weather conditions, and physically demanding tasks.
