About the Company: The company is a leading frozen bakery manufacturer based in Dubai that caters to HORECA & other B2B customers. The company is on a high growth path and as such is looking to expand its Maintenance team. About the role Wonder Bakery is looking to recruit a Maintenance Manager to provide leadership to the maintenance team and mange all aspects of plant equipement maintenance with high volume in bakery manufacturing environment. Job description
- Responsible to plan, prioritize, assign, manages, review, and participate in the work of maintenance department responsible for preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance implementation, repair and modification of bakery equipment. Coordinate activities with other departments and contractors.
- Develop and implement maintenance programs; establish schedules and methods for maintenance services.
- Prepare cost estimates for maintenance repairs, tools/equipment purchase, and modification of equipment/buildings. Supervise, inspect, and approve small construction and services of contractors. Operates within the approved budget for the Maintenance Department.
- Develops maintenance Standard Operating Procedures, provides or coordinates on-going training and ensures development of the maintenance crew. Participates in selection, discipline and evaluation of department staff.
- Recommends major maintenance needed and the purchase of necessary material/equipment that improves efficiency and reduces operational cost. Participates in testing and approval of new equipment. Plant wide standardization of parts. Resourceful procurement of parts to maximize production uptime and maintain long term spare parts inventories.
- Manages maintenance related assets to include machine and hand tools.
- Provides technical leadership and engineering contributions to process improvement projects as directed.
- Inspects the work of staff in progress and upon completion; ensures maintenance procedures are completed in a satisfactory and thorough manner and in compliance with safety requirements.
- Leading by example and mentoring to ensure that new ways of working are understood and implemented.
- Ensures the PM program is being followed each day and that all forms are being filled out correctly and completely. Completes root cause analysis of deficiencies
- Experience in Bakery Industry would be a distinct advantage
- BS in Engineering (Machanical/Electrical)
- Atleast 3 years experience as maintenance manager in high volume food manufaturing background
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to exlerate jobs on tight time lines
- Ability to work under pressure
- Valid UAE drivers license.
- Candidate must be based in UAE
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
