KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Task & Duties): 1. Legal Compliance: ? Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the organization\'s compliance. ? Assess the impact of new or changing regulations on the organization\'s operations and provide recommendations to maintain compliance. ? Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal requirements. ? Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as HR, finance, and operations, to ensure legal compliance in their respective areas. 2. Contracts Management: ? Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including agreements with clients, vendors, and other third parties. ? Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the organization. ? Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contract terms align with business objectives and legal requirements. 3. Legal Advisory and Risk Management: ? Provide legal advice and guidance to management and employees on various legal issues, including labor law, commercial law, intellectual property, and corporate governance. ? Assess and manage legal risks associated with business operations and propose effective risk mitigation strategies. ? Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes and resolve legal issues. 4. Dispute Resolution and Litigation: ? Represent the organization in legal proceedings, including negotiations, mediations, and settlements. ? Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary and manage legal disputes in alignment with the organization\'s interests. ? Prepare and review legal documents, such as legal opinions, contracts, pleadings, and settlement agreements. 5. Regulatory and Governmental Affairs:
? Liaise with regulatory authorities, government agencies, and industry associations to address legal and regulatory matters. ? Monitor changes in legislation and regulations that may impact the organization and provide guidance accordingly. ? Assist in obtaining necessary licenses, permits, and approvals from relevant authorities. 6. Legal Documentation and Record-Keeping: ? Maintain accurate and comprehensive legal documentation, records, and contracts. ? Ensure proper documentation of legal activities, correspondence, and decisions. ? Safeguard confidential and sensitive legal information. Qualification & Experience ? Bachelor\'s degree in Law from a recognized university. ? A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience as a legal advisor or in a similar legal role. Knowledge & Skills ? Strong understanding of commercial law, employment law, intellectual property and contract law. ? Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. ? Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills. ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ? Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. ? Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. ? Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. ?
