The Leasing Officer is responsible for assisting in the leasing and marketing of residential, commercial, or retail properties. They act as the key point of contact for prospective tenants, ensuring exceptional customer service and successful occupancy rates. The Leasing Officer handles property tours, lease negotiations, application processing, and move-in coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and qualify prospective tenants, schedule and conduct property tours.
Present available properties in a professional manner and highlight features and benefits.
Assist clients with leasing applications and ensure all required documents are collected.
Prepare and review lease agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date leasing files and tenant records.
Follow up on leads via phone, email, and walk-ins to maximize leasing opportunities.
Work closely with property management to ensure units are ready for move-in.
Resolve tenant queries and concerns before lease signing.
Support marketing campaigns to promote vacant units (e.g., online listings, open houses).
Provide weekly leasing reports and occupancy updates to management.
Requirements:
Proven experience in leasing, real estate, sales, or customer service.
Knowledge of leasing regulations and fair housing laws.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
