The Leasing Officer is responsible for managing the leasing process for residential or commercial properties. This role involves engaging with prospective tenants, presenting properties, handling leasing documentation, and ensuring occupancy targets are met. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and a strong understanding of property laws and leasing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote available properties through digital platforms, in-person tours, and promotional events.
Handle inquiries and conduct property showings to prospective tenants.
Guide clients through the leasing process, from application to move-in.
Prepare, review, and manage lease agreements and renewal documents.
Verify applicant information, including background checks and financial documents.
Maintain updated records of lease agreements, tenant information, and occupancy status.
Coordinate with maintenance and property management teams to ensure units are ready for occupancy.
Monitor and ensure compliance with leasing regulations and company policies.
Assist in achieving occupancy goals and revenue targets for the property.
Provide excellent customer service to current and prospective tenants.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field .
Proven experience as a leasing agent, leasing officer, or similar role.
Knowledge of leasing practices and tenant law.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
