Role Overview

The Senior Accountant manages the company's full range of accounting functions -- including cash flow, accounts, invoicing, receivables/payables, audits, taxes, site profitability, reconciliations, and management reporting. The role also involves correcting junior accountants' work, ensuring compliance with IFRS and UAE tax laws, and supporting management with financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cash Flow & Accounts Management

Monitor daily cash flow and ensure compliance. Manage month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. Coordinate with departments to maintain accurate records.

2. Invoicing & Receivables/Payables

Prepare and issue invoices promptly. Track receivables, follow up on overdue payments, and resolve disputes. Review payables, reconcile vendor accounts, and schedule payments.

3. Audits & Compliance

Prepare financial statements for audits. Ensure timely and accurate VAT and Corporate Tax filings. Provide necessary audit documentation and maintain compliance.

4. Landlord & Lease Management

Maintain database of lease agreements, rent schedules, and payment terms. Coordinate timely updates with landlords and management.

5. Profitability & Inter-Company Reconciliations

Analyze profitability across sites and recommend improvements. Perform inter-company reconciliations and resolve variances.

6. Management Reporting (MIS)

Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Provide Budget vs. Actual, Variance Analysis, and KPI reports. Track receivables/payables aging, revenue, expenses, and capex. Create cash flow forecasts and dashboards for management.

7. Additional Duties

Review and maintain internal financial controls. Process payroll/WPS, employee reimbursements, and petty cash. Manage certified vouchers and journal entry approvals.
Requirements

Master's degree in Accounting/Finance (ACCA/CPA preferred). Minimum 5 years of accounting & taxation experience (UAE experience preferred). Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT & Corporate Tax laws. Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Sage, Tally) and advanced Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines. Experience in Signage & Media industry is an advantage (not mandatory).
