- L1 Desktop Support Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Onsite)

Employment Type: Permanent Hire (2 Years, Extendable by 2 More Years)

About the Role

We are hiring L1 Desktop Support Engineers to join our client's IT operations team in Abu Dhabi. This role involves providing onsite technical support for Windows and Mac environments, hardware troubleshooting, and user assistance. You will work directly with the client's IT infrastructure team to ensure smooth operations and high availability of desktop systems.

Key Responsibilities

Provide onsite L1 desktop support to end-users for hardware, OS, and applications.

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Windows / Mac systems.

Manage installation, configuration, and upgrades of desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

Handle ServiceNow tickets and ensure timely closure.

Perform routine health checks and escalate issues when required.

Support the setup and maintenance of IT assets and manage HP EMS monitoring tools.

Collaborate with the infrastructure and security teams to resolve recurring issues.

Maintain proper documentation of incidents, resolutions, and asset inventory.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience: 1-3 years in desktop support / IT support roles.

Strong knowledge of Windows OS, hardware, and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing system (mandatory).

Exposure to HP EMS monitoring tools (preferred).

Knowledge of Mac/Apple support is an added advantage.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications

Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Relevant IT certifications are a plus (MCP, MCSA, ITIL Foundation, etc.).
