Job Description

Job Purpose:

To efficiently manage the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of materials, hardware, and services required for joinery and carpentry works. This includes ensuring quality, timely delivery, and cost-effective procurement aligned with project timelines and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:1. Procurement & Sourcing

Identify and evaluate suppliers for timber, boards (Solid Wood, MDF, plywood, etc.), laminates, veneers, adhesives, ironmongery, and other joinery-related materials. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with local and international vendors. Monitor market trends, material availability, and price fluctuations. Maintain strong supplier relationships and build alternative sources for critical items.

2. Project Coordination

Collaborate with the design, production, and site teams to understand material specifications and project schedules. Prepare and issue material requirement plans based on project timelines. Ensure timely delivery of materials to workshop or site to avoid delays.

3. Cost Control & Budgeting

Obtain multiple quotations to ensure competitive pricing. Assist in estimating and budgeting for joinery packages. Monitor and control procurement costs against budget.

4. Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate records of LPO , purchases, delivery notes, invoices, and contracts. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards. Monitor supplier performance and issue reports on delivery and material quality.

5. Logistics & Inventory

Coordinate with the warehouse team for inventory tracking and reordering levels. Arrange transportation and logistics for local or international purchases. Handle customs documentation and import clearances, if applicable.

Requirements: Education & Experience:

4-5 years of experience in procurement within a joinery/carpentry or fit-out company.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of joinery materials, fittings, and production methods. Good negotiation and communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in both residential and commercial joinery projects. Awareness of local and international timber market regulations. GCC experience (if applicable).

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR4,500.00 per month
