The \xe2\x80\x98IT Systems Engineer (Security & Cloud)\xe2\x80\x99 would ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operations of the IT Infrastructure elements with a primary focus on systems that are hosted on private and public cloud infrastructure. He / she should be capable of setting the standards and processes for monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all cloud-hosted systems. He / she should also be well versed with the current industry best practices primarily from the security point of view and should know how to harden and continuously ensure security of the cloud infrastructure. The Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. He/she will also manage relationships with Windows and Linux operating system vendors and service providers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Key Activities \xe2\x80\xa2 Setting up and maintaining the security architecture, security processes and procedures for both on premise and Cloud Systems \xe2\x80\xa2 Collect and analyse security requirements from internal customers; reconcile and remediate any conflicts with \xe2\x80\xa2 information security policies and standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Design, test, implement and monitor security solutions utilizing existing products in the security engineering portfolio: \xe2\x80\xa2 firewalls, proxy servers, intrusion detection/prevention, data loss prevention, anti-virus, anti-spam, vulnerability scanning, security information etc., or work with vendor partners to implement solutions as per the organization\xe2\x80\x99s change management process and procedures \xe2\x80\xa2 Setting up and managing cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure from scratch \xe2\x80\xa2 Expert in AD and Windows and UNIX security \xe2\x80\xa2 Plans for and implements operating systems changes or upgrades \xe2\x80\xa2 Hardening of OS according to global industry standard \xe2\x80\xa2 Manages installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance for all server based software (Exchange, ISA, IIS, etc.) \xe2\x80\xa2 Documents and communicates all changes and installations to change management and Help Desk \xe2\x80\xa2 Expert in zero downtime maintainability \xe2\x80\xa2 Deploy and Maintain management and Security Tools \xe2\x80\xa2 Partner with Technical Architects to develop and maintain enterprise documentation and architecture network and \xe2\x80\xa2 security diagrams \xe2\x80\xa2 Adhere to flydubai change management process and procedures for efficient use and handling of all resource changes (Hardware, software, service and data) to minimize the impact of Change-related faults. \xe2\x80\xa2 ITIL/Project Management experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Implement systems maintenance and management procedures and ability to explain technical concepts in nontechnical Terms \xe2\x80\xa2 Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service \xe2\x80\xa2 Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments \xe2\x80\xa2 Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions \xe2\x80\xa2 Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Provides senior level guidance and mentoring to the Linux Administrator/DevOps Engineer. \xe2\x80\xa2 Has primary responsibility for administration and support for Redhat and oracle Linux environments. \xe2\x80\xa2 Shares hands-on technical efforts associated with Linux administration with Linux Administrator, DevOps Engineer. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provides on-hours and off-hours backup and support to other IS Department teams for Linux, Container, Cloud, Database and Web-based applications, systems, and services.
