JOB OBJECTIVE The IT Infrastructure Engineer/Architect reports to the IT Infrastructure Work Package Manager. The IT Infrastructure Engineer specifies the IT Infrastructure in assigned projects within the UAE.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in the system requirements definition related to the IT Infrastructure

Contribute to technical specification definition and to the subcontractor choice for needed subsystem acquisition, taking into account possible export control restrictions;

Define and propose innovative solutions that meet customer requirements in compliance with product / system technical strategy;

Responsible for working out, stabilizing and maintaining the IT Infrastructure architecture for all project life-cycle phases

Assess technique and technological choices to ensure the best trade-off between customer requirements, technical solutions and cost & risk control;

Responsible for the delivery of project deliverables concerning the IT Infrastructure (system requirements, high-level and low level design documents, requests for quotation to suppliers, interface documents, installation and maintenance procedures, test procedures and reports)

Engage and follow up with suppliers at technical level

Work with IT Security team in order to minimize risks linked to IT Security and to implement security controls

Attend site survey visits and prepare site survey reports

Prepare training materials and conduct training to peers and customers

Participate in internal and customer technical meetings

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Working experience in the following domains: server, storage, virtualization, network

5 years' experience in a technical IT design capacity

Experience in implementing IT security controls (endpoint protection, PKI, server hardening, network security, VM security)

Experience in the full IT Infrastructure project lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, test and handover, support

Integration of IT Infrastructure subsystems with a System and Network monitoring Systems for example Centreon, Nagios

QUALIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

BSc in computer science or equivalent qualification

Qualifications in IT Infrastructure subsystems (network, communication, datacenter, virtualization, software integration, etc.)

Preferred certifications in VMware, Linux System Administration

Technical document writing

Requirements management and specifications

Architecture modeling

Good technical analysis and problem solving skills

Able to work in a multi-disciplined technology environment

Able to coordinate with external contractors and suppliers

Customer facing skills (meetings/presentations)
