Job Description

My client is a leading bank in the UAE looking for an experienced Application Support Specialist to join their team. You will be responsible for providing technical support for the bank\'s mission-critical applications and systems, ensuring they are running smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to end-users on mission-critical applications and systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing solutions.

Monitor system performance, identifying and resolving potential problems before they impact the business.

Liaise with other IT teams, software vendors and business users to ensure the timely resolution of issues.

Participate in the deployment and testing of new software releases and system upgrades.

Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledgebase articles.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Proven experience in application support in a banking or financial services environment.

Understanding of ITIL framework and experience working in an ITIL environment.
