Job Description

Job Purpose: The Application Support role is responsible for IT application support activities including technical support, maintenance, documentation, and administration. They will work closely with the Service Desk to provide operational support and to ensure timely and efficient resolution of IT application-related incidents and service requests. When requested by the Change Managers, the Application Support will support the process of impact assessing and planning IT application changes, and will then test, implement, and monitor required changes in line with agreed change requirements and plans.   • Responsible for providing the application support to the company such as design and maintain expertise in flow of application process, Administer and resolve applications issues, supervise all alerts related to application and system procedures, Manage all production system and recommend ways to optimize performance and provide solution to problems and prepare reports for all problems.
  • Ensure integrity of databases, applications, and systems and adhered to all Information security, risk and compliance global policies and standards.
  • Assists in the testing of application updates, enhancements, and changes to ensure assigned applications and related systems function appropriately and meet user requirements
  • Implement applications and configuration change procedures to ensure optimal Quality assurance for all applications.
  • Monitors assigned applications to reduce application downtime and ensure that assigned applications are available when needed.
  • Resolve IT application-related incidents, service requests and problems in a timely and efficient manner in line with Business requirements.
  • Employ appropriate application maintenance, support and incident management processes and procedures to support and maintain IT applications, and to investigate and resolve IT application-related incidents.
  • As required, provide timely communication to users on the status of their service requests and incidents. As necessary, liaise with IT vendors to ensure IT application-related incidents and problems are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure problem prevention methods continually applied to improve service levels and reduce costs. Undertake IT application-related problem diagnosis, implementing problem resolution or prevention measures as appropriate.
  • Monitor the availability, performance and throughput of supported IT applications.
  • Prioritize and schedule assigned support activities and tasks.
  • Maintain IT application support technical documentation.
  • Participate in disaster recovery activities as required.
  • Comply with all HSE policies and procedures of the company.
Change
  • Work with the Change Managers to review and assess impact new business requirements.
  • Contribute to technical aspects of key change documentation such as business requirements, change impact assessments, change implementation plans, change tickets, change roll-out plans etc.
  • Ensure capacity, availability, security and service support requirements considered in all IT application changes.
  • Implement, test and monitor required IT application changes in line with change implementation plans.
  • Undertake knowledge management activities: identifying, controlling and storing any pertinent information, and maintaining knowledge items to ensure that they are current, relevant and valid.
  • Ensure IT application changes meet the agreed service acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure that all activities performed at a consistently high standard with minimal risk to the application systems, and that opportunity to improve services and processes are identified and actioned.
  • Carry out ad hoc duties as requested by appropriate managers within your department.
Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ year experience in similar field
  • 1+ year experience in Software/Web/Mobile/Web Services Development / Programming
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems, Telecommunications Engineering Systems, or equivalent qualification, or 5+ years of working experience in IT.
  • Knowledge in Applications like Customer relationship management, Billing, finance, procurement, HR, Asset Management, Document Management system, Customer Portal, Customer Mobile Application.
  • Documentation skills like Technical requirements definition and scope of work.
  • Communicates effectively (clearly) in appropriate manner.
  • Effective Planning and Organizing.
  • Analyze, Identify and evaluate effective solutions accurately and paying attention to details.
  • Excellent knowledge in RDBMS, Database systems like ORACLE, MS SQL
  • Experience with BI and reporting tools such as SAP BO, BI Publisher, Crystal Report
  • Knowledge in Programming, familiarity with Java, .NET, C#, ASP.Net, HTML, Angular
  • Knowledge about Web Services, Web API, XML, JSON
  • Knowledge in SQL Query, Stored Procedures, PL/SQL
  • Understand and comply with the IT organization requirements, processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with others, coaching and supporting team members as required.
