The Inventory Controller at the Dubai Industrial City warehouse is responsible for managing and overseeing all inventory control processes to ensure maximum stock accuracy, efficient warehouse operations, and timely fulfillment of customer orders. This role involves meticulous record-keeping, conducting audits, and coordinating closely with the warehouse, operations, and logistics teams.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management and Accuracy
Maintain Records:
Accurately record all inbound and outbound stock movements, transfers, and adjustments in the inventory management system (IMS) or ERP system.
Cycle Counts & Audits:
Develop, implement, and manage regular cycle counting programs and conduct periodic physical inventory audits to verify stock accuracy.
Discrepancy Resolution:
Investigate and reconcile all inventory discrepancies, reporting variances to management with root cause analysis and proposed resolutions.
Stock Control:
Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability, preventing overstocking, stockouts (OOS), and minimizing loss or shrinkage.
Organization:
Oversee and ensure the proper labeling, palletizing, storage, and handling of all products within the warehouse, maintaining an organized and efficient layout.
Process and Compliance
Policy Development: Develop and implement robust inventory control policies and procedures to improve efficiency and maintain compliance with company standards and audit requirements.
System Integrity: Ensure all stock movements and transactions are processed timely and accurately according to company policies and audit controls.
Safety & Organization: Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Coordination and Reporting
Warehouse Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse team on the efficient and effective management of inventory, including receiving, put-away, picking, and dispatch processes.
Cross-Functional Liaison: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, Customer Service, and Transport) to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and delivery.
Reporting: Prepare and provide regular reports to management, including inventory status, stock coverage, turnover rates, shrinkage reports, and performance metrics.

Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 to 4 years of proven experience in an Inventory Controller, Stock Controller, or a similar role, preferably within a large-scale logistics or shipping warehouse environment.
