About the Role:

A reputable fit-out contracting company based in Dubai is seeking an experienced

Fit-Out Project Engineer & Business Unit Head

to oversee on-site execution, manage labor teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure timely, high-quality project delivery. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in interior fit-out works, a hands-on leadership style, and the ability to drive day-to-day progress on active project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution:

Manage the full project lifecycle from demolition to final finishes, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to design specifications.

Team Management:

Lead a team of laborers on-site, assigning tasks and monitoring productivity.

Preparing Quotation:

Including cost sheet and Manpower calculation.

Subcontractor Coordination:

Supervise subcontracted activities such as MEP, flooring, carpentry, painting, and others to ensure timely completion.

Daily Planning:

Schedule and plan daily tasks for both internal teams and external contractors to maintain project momentum.

On-Site Supervision:

Oversee all on-site operations, address challenges in real-time, and ensure alignment with project goals.

Quality Control:

Maintain compliance with Dubai Municipality and other relevant standards, ensuring top-tier quality across all works.

Regulatory Compliance:

Secure necessary permits, schedule inspections, and handle authority approvals (Trakhees, DCD, etc.).

Budget Management:

Track project costs, manage resource allocation, and maintain financial control without compromising quality.

Client & Supplier Interaction:

Coordinate with clients, consultants, and suppliers to ensure project requirements and delivery timelines are met.

Reporting:

Document progress, maintain site records, and update management regularly on milestones and challenges.

Requirements:

? Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field
? Minimum 10 years of experience managing fit-out projects in Dubai or the UAE
? Strong technical knowledge in gypsum work, flooring, painting, MEP, and custom interior finishes
? Skilled in managing teams, subcontractors, and site logistics
? Familiar with UAE regulations and approval processes (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DCD)
? Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project scheduling tools
? Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
? Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
?

Valid UAE Driving License required
