Job Description

The role ensures efficient project execution, system reliability, safety compliance and performance optimization in alignment with ADNOC technical and HSE standards. ?Plan, coordinate and execute installation of AMI smart gas meters for residential, commercial and industrial customers. ?Supervise site preparation, meter mounting, pressure testing and commissioning as per ADNOC Gas Distribution standards. ?Verify proper gas flow direction, pressure and meter connectivity before activation. ?Ensure accurate configuration, calibration and data validation between smart meters and HES (Head End Systems). ?Conduct pre-installation surveys and coordinate with customers and contractors for access and safety compliance. ?Monitor and maintain AMI smart metering systems to ensure continuous and accurate gas consumption data collection. ?Perform periodic inspection, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of smart meters. ?Identify and resolve communication failures between meters and central systems (HES/MDMS).
?Support remote operations, firmware updates and data synchronization activities. ?Ensure all field operations comply with ADNOC HSE guidelines and gas safety procedures. ?Maintain safety documentation, permits to work (PTW) and ensure safe handling of gas lines and equipment. ?Prepare daily, weekly and monthly installation and maintenance progress reports. ?Maintain detailed records of installed meters, customer details and communication status. ?Support project documentation for ADNOC audits and QA/QC compliance. ?Generate reports from HES/MDMS for data accuracy verification and operational tracking Assist customer service teams with technical clarifications regarding meter performance or installation. ?Support training sessions for field technicians and junior engineers on AMI installation and troubleshooting.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering (mandatory).

Experience:

-5-10 years of experience in gas distribution / oil & gas / utility sector. ?Knowledge of gas network operations. ?Familiarity with ADNOC or equivalent Gulf region gas distribution standards. ?Strong understanding of pipeline safety, pressure regulation, and metering calibration. ?Proficient in

MS Office

, HES/MDMS systems and maintenance management software.
