About the Role

We are hiring a

Desktop Engineer - Operation and Maintenance (M/F)

to support the day-to-day IT operations and maintenance of desktop systems. The role involves providing end-user support, ensuring system reliability, and maintaining compliance with IT security standards. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing upgrades, and keeping IT infrastructure running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals. Provide operational support and troubleshooting for Windows systems and enterprise applications. Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Ensure compliance with IT security and operational policies. Manage incident tickets, document solutions, and maintain asset records. Coordinate with IT teams for escalated issues, upgrades, and deployments. Provide user training and support to enhance productivity.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years' experience

in IT operations, desktop engineering, or technical support. Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments. Hands-on experience with system imaging, updates, and endpoint security tools. Good understanding of networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written).

Desirable:

Certifications such as Microsoft MCSA, CompTIA A+, or ITIL. Experience with Active Directory, group policies, and user account management. Exposure to enterprise IT service management tools (ticketing systems, monitoring tools).
