To support the implementation of the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System at project sites and ensure compliance with ADNOC requirements, company policies, and relevant safety standards. The HSE Officer plays a vital role in promoting safe work practices and assisting in maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
2. Key Responsibilities
Assist in implementing and maintaining the company's HSE policies, procedures, and standards at site level.
Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions; recommend and follow up on corrective actions.
Support the development of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Permit to Work (PTW) processes.
Ensure all work activities are performed in compliance with ADNOC and company HSE standards.
Participate in incident/near-miss reporting, investigation, and preparation of related documentation.
Conduct HSE inductions and toolbox talks for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper compliance.
Maintain HSE records, checklists, and reports as per ADNOC and company requirements.
Support emergency drills and ensure proper emergency preparedness on site.
Promote safety awareness and a proactive safety culture among workers.
Assist in environmental management, including waste segregation, spill prevention, and compliance with environmental regulations.
3. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma from a recognized institution (Engineering, Science, or relevant discipline preferred).
Professional Certifications (Minimum one required):
NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent (subject to ADNOC approval).
Other ADNOC-recognized HSE certifications may be considered at ADNOC's discretion.
Additional Certifications (Preferred):
Fire Safety, First Aid, Working at Heights, Scaffolding Inspection, Confined Space Entry, or similar HSE trainings.
4. Experience
Minimum
3-5 years
of experience in HSE within any industry.
At least
1 year
of experience in
construction, fabrication, installation, commissioning, operations, or production
within the
oil & gas or petrochemical sector
.
Prior ADNOC project experience or ADNOC approval (if applicable) is an advantage.
