Job Purpose: The HR Business Partner will serve as the strategic partner to the business, developing HR strategies, needs assessments and resulting HR solutions. Ensure the effective “delivery” of all HR programs and services. Deliver HR results in the business, including client satisfaction, HR effectiveness and associated financial results. Establish, build and maintains strong relationships with key HR partners from all Practice Areas and Service Centers to ensure elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet business needs; includes relationship management, leadership, HR roles/responsibilities, and service delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Establish, build, and maintain strong strategic business partnership with line management to provide a wide range of HR Support on employee issues, implement HR strategies and advise business leaders on best HR practices.
Establish, build and maintain strong relationships with key HR partners from all Centers of Excellence and Service Centers to ensure elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet business needs; includes relationship management, leadership, HR roles & responsibilities, and service delivery commitments.
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures.
Assist in the diagnosis, development and delivery of HR strategies, programs and services that influence and drive the needs of the respective business. Utilize skills in data analysis and survey results analysis to help generate insights around talent, culture, and engagement.
Manage HR projects, covering multi-disciplinary areas, including compensation and benefits, performance management, people management, employee relations and change management
Act as ambassador of the HR organization to represent the services and resources available to the business and help manage the collective reputation of the HR organization.
Champion AbbVie Ways of Working with leaders by modeling, educating and coaching on these behaviors
Serve as an active member of the Culture team, identifying opportunities to improve our culture and employee engagement.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Responsible for driving affiliate and functional wide projects to deliver on the HR strategic initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 5 years of human resources experience, preferably in a business partner capacity with project management experience
Experience in building and maintaining relationship with diverse client group and acting as a strategic partner and business advisor
A team player who can also work independently
Must have strong data and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Demonstrated success in workforce planning, performance management and/or talent management
Working knowledge of local labor laws
Significant breadth of understanding of functional HR roles and responsibilities and impact on the business
