Job Description

Job Summary:
The HR Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources department, assisting with recruitment, employee records management, payroll processing, and HR policies. This role ensures smooth HR operations and contributes to a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities: * Recruitment & Onboarding Support:

  • Assist with job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, including paperwork, orientation, and training.
  • Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility (I-9, E-Verify).
  • Employee Records & Compliance:
  • Maintain and update employee records (digital and physical files).
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Assist with audits and reporting (EEO, OSHA, etc.).
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration:
  • Support payroll processing by verifying timesheets and employee data.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and inquiries.
  • Track leave balances (vacation, sick days, FMLA).
  • HR Policies & Employee Relations:
  • Help communicate HR policies and procedures.
  • Address basic employee inquiries and escalate issues when needed.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives and events.
  • General Administrative Duties:
  • Prepare HR documents (offer letters, contracts, termination notices).
  • Organize and schedule meetings, training sessions, and interviews.
  • Maintain HR databases and generate reports as needed.
