HR ASSISTANT MANAGER
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Reporting To: HR Manager / Head of HR
Job Summary
The HR Assistant Manager is a key support role within the Human Resources department, responsible for assisting in the development and execution of HR strategies and initiatives. This role focuses on managing the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with UAE labor laws. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and empathetic professional who can balance administrative duties with strategic input.
Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process: from job posting and screening to interviewing and job offer.
  • Coordinate with department heads to identify staffing needs and ensure timely hiring.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive integration into the company.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement:
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee queries and grievances, providing counsel and resolving issues effectively.
  • Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement programs, wellness initiatives, and company events.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Performance Management:
  • Support the administration of the performance appraisal cycle, guiding managers on the process.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating professional development programs.
  • Compensation & Benefits (C&B):
  • Assist in the management of the company's C&B structure, including salary benchmarking and payroll coordination.
  • Administer employee benefits, such as health insurance, leave management, and end-of-service benefits, in line with UAE policy.
  • HR Policies & Legal Compliance:
  • Ensure all HR practices are in full compliance with UAE Federal Labour Law and other relevant regulations (e.g., MOHRE, ADHICS for health insurance).
  • Update and maintain the employee handbook and HR policies.
  • Manage the employee visa, work permit, and labor card processes.
  • HR Reporting & Systems:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
  • Prepare HR metrics and reports for management review (e.g., turnover, headcount, recruitment status).
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM-CP, PHRi) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in a generalist HR role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, within the UAE.
Skills & Competencies
  • Thorough knowledge of UAE labor laws and immigration procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and tact.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in HR software and MS Office Suite.
  • Effective communication skills in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
