We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands?on Horticulturist with strong hydroponics experience to manage and optimize controlled?environment growing systems. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, problem?solving skills, and a passion for innovative, sustainable cultivation.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of hydroponic growing systems, including NFT, DWC, drip irrigation, or aeroponics.
Monitor and adjust nutrient solutions, pH, EC, and water quality to maintain optimal plant health.
Manage propagation, planting, pruning, harvesting, and post?harvest processes.
Diagnose and address plant health issues such as pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
Maintain accurate records of crop performance, environmental conditions, and production data.
Collaborate with management to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance system efficiency.
Ensure compliance with UAE agricultural regulations, safety standards, and biosecurity protocols.
Train and supervise farm staff on hydroponic best practices and daily procedures.
Support trials of new crop varieties, substrates, lighting systems, and cultivation techniques.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Plant Science, or a related field.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience working with hydroponic or controlled?environment agriculture systems.
Strong understanding of plant physiology, nutrient management, and climate?control systems.
Experience with greenhouse automation, LED lighting, and environmental monitoring tools.
Ability to troubleshoot plant health issues and implement corrective actions.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience working in the GCC or UAE agricultural sector.
Knowledge of vertical farming or indoor grow operations.
Familiarity with sustainable and resource?efficient cultivation methods.
Ability to manage production schedules and inventory.
