Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Baker to join our home-based bakery. The baker will be responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing a variety of artisanal baked goods -- including cookies, breads, Korean salt bread, bagels and pastries -- while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake bakery items according to established recipes and standards. Measure and mix ingredients accurately, ensuring consistent product quality. Operate and maintain bakery equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers, etc.). Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product appearance for consistency. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations. Assist with packaging, labeling, and organizing daily orders. Help in inventory management -- tracking ingredients, reporting shortages, and assisting with stock rotation. Maintain records of production and quality control as needed. Support in testing new recipes and improving current ones when needed. Ensure timely completion of daily production schedules.
Requirements:

Proven experience as a baker or pastry assistant (home or professional setting). Knowledge of basic and advanced baking techniques. Ability to follow recipes precisely and maintain consistency. Good sense of time management and attention to detail. Physical stamina to work on your feet for extended periods. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in a small team. Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with sourdough, enriched doughs, and cookies. Familiarity with commercial ovens and baking tools or is willing to learn. Creativity and willingness to learn new techniques.
