What We're Looking For:

Demonstrated experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter / Mechanic in quarrying, mining, construction, or other heavy industrial settings In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, and electrical fault diagnostics Mining industry experience is highly desirable Practical experience working on loading shovels, dump trucks, excavators, and other quarry/construction vehicles Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Flexibility to work overtime and respond to emergency breakdowns when needed Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs Strong ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively within a team A solid commitment to quality workmanship and upholding the highest safety standards Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine servicing, mechanical inspections, and repairs on a range of heavy plant machinery Diagnose faults and perform efficient troubleshooting across hydraulic, engine, and electrical systems Deliver both preventive and reactive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and increase operational reliability Respond promptly to breakdowns, carrying out on-site diagnostics and repairs as needed Maintain up-to-date and accurate service records, ensuring alignment with maintenance schedules Work closely with fellow technicians and departments to ensure smooth and efficient maintenance operations Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in every task performed
