We're hiring on behalf of a leading utilities contractor for an experienced and driven Planner to support large-scale infrastructure projects.
In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, ensuring all updates align with approved project frameworks and timelines. You'll play a key role in project control by providing accurate scheduling data to support time, cost, and resource planning. You'll also generate reports, Gantt charts, S-curves, and resource histograms to track progress and support effective decision-making. As project changes are approved, you'll update the baseline schedule and ensure all documentation remains accurate and up to date.
You'll work closely with senior planners to review project progress and assist with programme updates as needed. Collaboration will be central to your day-to-day responsibilities, as you'll coordinate regularly with Quantity Surveyors to cost-load schedules and support forecasting, while also keeping in close contact with site teams and project managers to ensure consistent and timely updates. Any issues or discrepancies within the schedule will need to be identified early and escalated appropriately to maintain project momentum and alignment.
Requirements:
Previous experience scheduling construction or utility-based projects.
Hands-on knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is essential.
Familiarity with data organization principles and planning workflows.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across various teams and disciplines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying project risks or delays.
