Job Description

Job Summary:
The Head Waitress is responsible for overseeing the dining room operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and leading the waitstaff team. This role involves coordinating service, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and maintaining high standards of food and beverage service. The Head Waitress also assists in staff training, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with restaurant policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure prompt and courteous service to all customers.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues efficiently.
• Maintain a welcoming and organized dining area.

2. Team Leadership:

• Supervise, train, and motivate waitstaff to deliver exceptional service.
• Assign duties and sections to servers, ensuring smooth operations.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate specials, promotions, and service standards.
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff members.

3. Operational Duties:

• Oversee table setup, reservations, and seating arrangements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Monitor dining room flow and assist servers during peak hours.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely food and drink service.

4. Administrative Tasks:

• Assist in scheduling staff shifts and managing attendance.
• Monitor and report on inventory needs (menus, cutlery, napkins, etc.).
• Handle cashier duties, including processing payments and balancing cash registers.
• Provide feedback to management on staff performance and customer satisfaction.

5. Sales & Upselling:

• Promote special menu items, beverages, and promotions to increase sales.
• Train staff on upselling techniques to enhance revenue.
