Head Waiter Cum Supervisor
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Reporting To: Restaurant Manager / Assistant Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Waiter Cum Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team. You will be the crucial link between management, the kitchen, and our guests, ensuring seamless service, exceptional customer satisfaction, and the smooth day-to-day operation of the dining area. Your role is pivotal in maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Supervision:
  • Supervise, train, and motivate a team of waiters, waitresses, and busboys.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate daily specials, reservations, and service standards.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, including section allocation and side duties.
  • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Guest Service Excellence:
  • Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally, turning challenging situations into positive experiences.
  • Oversee the entire dining area to ensure all guests receive timely and attentive service.
  • Build rapport with regular guests to foster loyalty.
  • Operational Management:
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
  • Manage table turnover and optimize seating arrangements using the reservation system.
  • Oversee the setup and cleanliness of the dining area, ensuring it meets all standards.
  • Assist in managing inventory for front-of-house supplies (linens, cutlery, stationery).
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Assist in processing end-of-day reports and reconciling cash and card payments.
  • Monitor and manage restaurant reservations via phone and booking platforms.
  • Report any maintenance issues or incidents to the Restaurant Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage service procedures.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and professionalism.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Relevant hospitality certification is an advantage.
