About Our Client

The client is a well-reputed international bank that has recently set up operations in the DIFC.

• Develop and implement the bank\'s overall risk management strategy and policies in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Oversee the identification, assessment, and monitoring of risks across all bank activities, including credit, market, operational, liquidity, and strategic risks.
• Establish and maintain the bank\'s risk appetite and ensure that risk limits are set and monitored effectively.
• Ensure that the bank\'s risk management framework is aligned with the bank\'s strategic objectives and risk culture.
• Lead the development and implementation of risk mitigation plans and controls to minimize the bank\'s exposure to risks.
• Regularly report to the bank\'s senior management and board of directors on the bank\'s risk profile and risk management practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that risk management practices are integrated into all bank activities.
• Manage and lead a team of risk management professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in a bank or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Sound understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, or PRM are desirable.
