Our client is a long-established dominant specialist in the end-to-end GCC Hypermarket / FMCG / Retail market. They seek a highly experienced Head of Operations to manage their Hypermarket operations in Yemen. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business objectives to drive productivity, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Oversee the supply chain operations, including procurement, vendor management, inventory control, and logistics to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing wastage.
Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Manage and delegate responsibilities to achieve operational excellence.
Optimize and enhance operational processes across departments, ensuring optimal resource utilization, inventory management, and compliance with industry standards.
Utilize data-driven insights and KPIs to assess operational performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
Uphold and elevate customer service standards, ensuring a positive and engaging shopping experience for customers. Implement strategies to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Collaborate with the finance department to monitor budget adherence, cost controls, and P&L management. Identify areas for cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, health, and safety protocols. Implement measures to maintain a safe and secure environment for both employees and customers.
Experience and Qualifications:
Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
10+ years experience in operations management within the FMCG sector, preferably in a hypermarket or retail environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage cross-functional teams effectively.
In-depth knowledge of supply chain logistics, inventory management, and process optimization.
Proficiency in analyzing data, interpreting trends, and implementing strategies based on insights.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Adeptness in handling high-pressure situations and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
Proficiency in English & Arabic is mandatory.
