Position: Head of Legal & Compliance - GCC Operations

Location: Dubai, UAE

Languages known:Arabic(must have), English

Industry:Retail Industry background mandatory

Experience: Minimum 6 years in legal, licensing, or regulatory affairs in the GCC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to lead all legal and compliance operations across the GCC. This role involves managing regulatory compliance, licensing, contract drafting, government relations, intellectual property, insurance, litigation, and stakeholder coordination across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure legal compliance across UAE, KSA, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Kuwait Manage company licensing, trade registrations, and government portals (e.g., MOHRE, Qiwa, GOSI, Baladiya) Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts Oversee property and lease legalities, IP registrations, and insurance coverage Represent the company in legal proceedings and regulatory hearings Maintain a central document control system and ensure recordkeeping standards Collaborate with departments (HR, Finance, Retail, etc.) for contract and compliance alignment Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, or related field (legal education preferred) Strong knowledge of GCC labor laws, corporate regulations, and compliance standards Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills Arabic language skills are an advantage
