About This Role
Are you ready to take your aviation career to new heights? We're seeking an inspiring and visionary Head of Flight Training to lead our dynamic team at the Emirates-CAE Flight Training (ECFT) joint venture in Dubai. Here, you'll shape the future of commercial and business jet pilot training, working alongside industry leaders and delivering excellence across Boeing, Airbus, Hawker, King Air, Challenger, Gulfstream, Falcon, Embraer and Bombardier platforms - a total of 21 Flight Simulators. You will be responsible for a team of around 120 full time staff with another 50 freelancers, via 9 managers who will be direct reports into you.
What You'll Do:
Lead & Inspire: Empower a talented team of training professionals, guiding Training Managers to deliver exceptional results for both clients and instructors.
Drive Innovation: Champion continuous improvement, spearheading strategic initiatives that elevate training standards and client satisfaction.
Ensure Excellence: Oversee compliance with UAE GCAA CAR-FCL, CFR Part 142, EASA, FAA and other regulatory requirements, ensuring our programs set the benchmark for quality and safety.
Collaborate Globally: Connect with CAE's worldwide network, sharing best practices and integrating global training standards.
Shape the Future: Partner with HR to attract top talent, nurture instructor development, and deliver impactful performance reviews.
Your Impact:
Guarantee the highest standards in flight simulation and theoretical instruction.
Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Optimize scheduling and resource planning to meet ambitious training goals.
Build strong relationships with regulatory authorities, clients, and global teams.
What You Bring:
Proven experience as a Flight Instructor or Examiner, with a track record in standards, management, or mentorship.
Leadership of moderate to large teams, with a passion for resolving complex challenges.
Strong proficiency with MS Office and modern digital tools.
Extensive instructional experience relevant to ATO training, holding (or having recently held) a professional license and ratings per ICAO Annex 1.
