The Role
You\'ll collaborate closely with our Chief Product Officer (CPO) to craft a compelling partnership and engagement strategy. This involves building and nurturing relationships with strategic partners, including retail merchants, utility companies, banks, payment organizations, and other related industries. The goal is to create a robust ecosystem of support for our platform.
Together with the CPO, you\'ll develop a roadmap to identify and engage key partners who align with our vision and mission. By leveraging these partnerships, we aim to create a seamless and comprehensive user experience for our clients.
Your role will be pivotal in managing and expanding these relationships, working towards mutual growth and success. You\'ll have the opportunity to shape our partnership strategy, identifying innovative ways to collaborate and enhance our offering to clients.
You\'ll manage partnerships with payment schemes/acquiring partners for marketing, product, and infrastructure support. Your role includes nurturing collaborations, leveraging their expertise, and ensuring smooth integration for our platform.
You\xe2\x80\x99ll manage and build a scorecard for partner performance including customer penetration and engagement. This will entail building peer comparison models between partners on agreed metrices such volume and/or value of use.
You\xe2\x80\x99ll manage KPIs/OKRs, forecasts and exceed targets for monetization and app usage.
Processes
Understand user behaviour and user psychology and be able to propose new and creative approaches to attract and enable partnerships and merchants\' growth.
Collaborate closely with product, design, marketing and tech teams to help scale successful ideas, drive user growth and monetization. And be part of ideation sessions to improve the product.
Employ user design thinking processes how to enhance the product and engagement
See changes through to completion and implementation and provide analytics of the results
Steer and guide overall partnership pipeline, operational cadences and deal conversion for the team; you\xe2\x80\x99ll be expected to open and position conversations with key strategic partners
Risk Management
Act and escalate quickly when any risk and control weakness become apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and escalated to the relevant risk owners
Work with multiple stakeholders to ensure adherence to applicable risk and control framework.
Governance
Familiarise self with governance structures and mandatory processes the Company and the Group.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group\xe2\x80\x99s Values and Code of Conduct.
Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across the Venture. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Qualifications
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or MBA
8 years of hands-on business development experience within fintech, payment or retail businesses
Highly proficient with technology (web and mobile applications)
Possessing an existing network of clients within banking, finance and/or card payment organizations will be an advantage
Can work with deadlines and possess a strong ability of driving and owning the entire sales cycle
Strong verbal and written communications, interpersonal, presentation and relationship building skills
A high level of cross-cultural and emotional intelligence
The ability to take ownership and see working at a start-up as a lifestyle
Juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a result-oriented, fast-paced and high-pressure environment
