Our client, a top government entity in Abu Dhabi, is currently looking for an Emirati Head of Performance and Compensation to join their team. The main responsibility will be to drive employee and team performance to achieve the entity's objectives by determining and monitoring effective KPIs and incentive compensation. The role is also responsible for HR policies, employee relations and HR operations and systems and will oversee the General Services function.
The role:
Incentive Compensation
Design and manage effective incentive compensation structures
Manage the annual compensation round and report on regular benchmarking of pay including incentive compensation and benefits
Performance
Set organisation level KPIs for balanced scorecard and quantitative measures for the business
Manage annual setting of goals and KPIs and ongoing monitoring and reporting of organisational, individual and team achievement
Ensure all staff have individual aligned KPIs and manage their individual performance reviews
Benefits
Benchmark employee benefits to ensure they are aligned with pay strategy and peer group
Provide reports and obtain any required approvals from the Remuneration Committee on compensation, performance and benefits related matters
Reporting
Proactively provide regular reporting on key HR metrics such as turnover, attendance, productivity, training and engagement
Employee Relations
Oversee and manage any grievance or disciplinary or performance improvement matters
HR Operations
Drive the ongoing development of HR systems to provide good customer service and effective transaction processing and record keeping
Oversee and authorise payroll and HRIS
General Services
Manage the General Services function delivering a range of services including: office assistants, security, cleaning, office supplies, events, design, maintenance, reception and meeting rooms, suppliers, Health and Safety systems etc.
Project manage both annual renewals and events as well as projects to continuously improve office maintenance, services and environment
Requirements:
UAE National with a Family Book
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resources or Management.
Professional certification in HR or Master's degree preferred, but not mandatory
10-12 years of HR experience mostly obtained in both employee relations and compensation
Knowledgeable about performance management
Solid experience managing disciplinary and grievance matters
High level of quantitative analytical skills
Good understanding of business performance
Ideally from the financial services industry
Fluent in English and Arabic
