Position Title : Head of Child Protection (Prevention)

Education :
PhD (no experience required), or
Master's degree + 3 years of experience, or
Bachelor's degree + 6 years of experience
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Child Psychology, Law, or any related field.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Responsibilities

• Lead the development of departmental goals and strategic plans aligned with the ministry's vision and strategy.
• Oversee implementation of plans and achievement of approved strategic objectives.

Institutional Responsibilities

• Manage departmental operations in line with governance frameworks, policies, and approved procedures.
• Ensure department compliance with the Risk Department guidelines and the ministry's institutional excellence requirements.

Functional Responsibilities & KPIs

• Number of preventive awareness campaigns conducted annually.
• Number of early detection and referral programs implemented in collaboration with partners.

Planning & Policy Development

• Contribute to developing the strategic framework for child protection a

Contribute to developing the strategic framework for child protection against all forms of neglect and abuse, and participate in updating preventive policies.
Design & Implementation of Preventive Programs

• Supervise development of early referral pathways in collaboration with relevant agencies and build partner capacity for effective activation.
• Launch proactive community initiatives to protect children in homes, schools, and care institutions.

Community Awareness & Family Empowerment

• Lead educational awareness campaigns to raise community understanding of child rights, types of abuse, and risks of neglect, ensuring clear access to official reporting channels.

Child Participation & Follow-Up

• Oversee mechanisms ensuring children's voices are heard and integrated into awareness and preventive interventions.
• National Coordination & Partnerships
• Coordinate with child protection stakeholders to ensure alignment of roles and prevent duplication.
