Head - Human Resources
Position Summary:
The Head of HR will serve as the primary leader responsible for all HR and administrative functions related to the blue-collar workforce. This role requires a professional with in-depth expertise in HR operations, along with substantial experience in managing labor accommodations (including camps), worker welfare initiatives, and grievance resolution processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in manpower or labor supply sectors, emphasizing compliance, employee welfare, and efficient operational management in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire employee lifecycle for the blue-collar workforce, from recruitment and onboarding to exit procedures, ensuring processes are efficient, compliant, and respectful
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, including UAE labor law and MOHRE requirements, as well as compliance standards related to camp management and worker welfare
- Oversee visa processing, renewals, cancellations, and related documentation, coordinating with HR & PRO teams and government authorities
- Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely salary disbursement through WPS
- Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures tailored to the manpower industry while promoting the welfare of employees
- Manage labor accommodations, including facilities maintenance, hygiene standards, catering, and transportation logistics, ensuring a safe and dignified living environment
- Act as the primary point of contact for resolving worker grievances, labor disputes, and disciplinary issues with fairness, professionalism, and adherence to legal standards
- Address camp-related issues proactively, fostering a positive community environment and preventing escalation
- Collaborate with HR team/manager for maintaining accurate and confidential HR records, personnel files, and HRIS data
- Design and implement onboarding and engagement initiatives to improve employee retention, morale, and overall satisfaction
- Support performance management initiatives and employee development programs to promote growth and recognition
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred
- 14-15 years of progressive HR operations experience, with specific background in the manpower, contracting, or labor supply industry
- Extensive experience managing blue-collar worker relations, grievance procedures, and camp/campus administration
- Knowledge of UAE labor laws, visa procedures, and relevant compliance standards
- Proven leadership experience managing HR functions for workforces exceeding 2,000 employees, particularly blue-collar teams
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi or other relevant languages is highly advantageous for direct workforce interaction.
