As the Head Hostess for a 4-star hotel, you will lead a team of hosts/hostesses in providing exceptional guest service and creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience for our guests. We are seeking an experienced and charismatic individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the host/hostess team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient operations and exceptional service standards.
Manage the daily operations of the host/hostess station, including assigning seating, coordinating reservations, and maintaining accurate waitlists.
Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and ensure that their seating preferences and special requests are accommodated.
Monitor dining room flow and manage table turnover, optimizing seating arrangements to maximize occupancy and minimize wait times.
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and serving staff to coordinate seating and ensure smooth transitions between courses, courses, and service.
Assist with guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction and problem resolution.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host/hostess area, including cleaning menus, host stands, and waiting areas, and ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
Collaborate with the restaurant manager and culinary team to develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience, improve service efficiency, and drive revenue growth.
Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to review procedures, reinforce service standards, and address any issues or concerns.
Monitor and evaluate host/hostess performance, providing feedback and recognition to promote excellence and foster a positive team culture.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a similar guest service role, with demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of delivering exceptional service.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues and effectively communicate with diverse teams.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Professional appearance a with a friendly and approachable personality and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the needs of the business.
Familiarity with reservation systems and restaurant operations, as well as basic math skills for managing seating arrangements and waitlists.
Fluency in additional languages is advantageous.
