Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and innovative

Head Chef specializing in North Indian cuisine

to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have deep culinary knowledge of traditional and modern North Indian dishes, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute a high-quality, authentic North Indian menu, including tandoori, curries, breads, and regional specialties. Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring timely and efficient meal preparation and service. Develop seasonal menus and introduce innovative dishes aligned with current food trends while maintaining authenticity. Oversee all aspects of food preparation, presentation, portion control, and quality consistency. Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards are strictly followed (HACCP standards). Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships to ensure freshness and cost-effectiveness. Train junior chefs and kitchen staff in North Indian culinary techniques and kitchen etiquette. Monitor food costs and minimize waste without compromising on quality. Collaborate with management for event catering, promotions, and special menus.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a Chef, with at least 3 years in a Head Chef role focusing on North Indian cuisine. Expert knowledge of regional North Indian cooking styles including Punjabi, Awadhi, Rajasthani, and Mughlai cuisines. Skilled in tandoor operations and use of traditional spices and techniques. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment. Food Safety Certification or equivalent. Excellent communication and team management skills. Fluency in Hindi or Punjabi is a plus.
