Overview

Position: GZ technical/application manager

Location: UAE, Abu-Dhabi

Type: Permanent

Travel: Min 30% of time

Equivalent to band A

Qualifications

As requested, below are the qualification the technical manager needs to have to fulfil the Job requirement.

+ Must have Engineering Degree.

+ Have a minimum of 5- 10 years fishing field supervisor experience with a major fishing company

+ Candidate MUST have a management experience

+ The candidate must be on top of the latest WFT and latest industry technologies , to be capable and be willing to quickly familiarize with them ( Endura Dual section Mills, Ardyne, ALPHA V, Ghost reamer, etc,,, )

+ Must have an outgoing personality that will be conducive to good customer relations as well as good relationship within GZ team and GBU .

Open hole fishing

+ Free point and Back Off of drillstring (in straight and highly deviated wells)

+ Mud rheology

+ Stuck pipe scenarios and how to approach them

+ Fishing in highly deviated wells

+ Jar Placement, impact and impulse calculations

+ Jarring operations

+ Washover operations and best practices

+ Hydraulics calculations

+ Junk Fishing Open Hole

+ Wireline fishing in open hole

+ Parted casing intervention

+ Open hole whipstocks

+ Pilot Milling

+ Section Milling

+ Offshore slot recovery methods and strategies

+ Offshore Plug and Abandon methods and strategies

+ Wireline cut and thread operations

Cased hole fishing

+ Single string completion fishing strategies

+ Dual string completion fishing strategies

+ Packer milling and all single trip packer milling and recovery tools

+ Internal and external casing patch tools and procedures

+ Casing swaging

+ External tubular cutting tools

+ Internal tubular cutting tools

+ eLine tubular cutting tools

+ Cased hole fishing in highly deviated wells

+ Junk mill types, design, and procedures

+ ESP cable and pump recovery tools and procedures

Work description (including, but not limited to):

+ Lead the Ardyne project from the technical/sails point of view for MENA;

+ Lead the project for Endura market expansion for MENA (mainly Qatar and UAE);

+ Lead the project for Alpha V;

+ Lead other specific technical projects for MENA/WFT overall;

+ Support remote operations (as an example whipstock jobs);

+ Be the first step to create operations support center in order to increase a SQ, utilize more younger engineers, decrease cost for the company by utilization of younger engineers, other PLs and third party companies;

+ Support the tender process from the technical side;

+ Train and be a focal point for FRE NEXTGEN/ENG1 population;

+ Train personnel on new technologies including Ardyne, Endura, Alpha etc..
