Our client is a vital government entity in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. They are looking to grow their team by hiring a talented Emirati National as IT Applications Manager within the Technology department.

Role:

To lead, direct and oversee the design, development, integration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of automation and technology business solutions for the Department.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and direct all activities in the Application Services Domain
- Lead discussions with various stakeholders to identify potential business challenges and understand requirements
- Design, build and implement technology solutions to improve the effectiveness and quality of business capabilities
- Ensure current technology solutions continue to operate in line with customer/user expectations
- Set long-term technical direction (roadmaps) for technology services within the scope
- Ensure external partnerships with solution providers, vendors, and resources, and delivered within parameters of SLAs
- Liaise closely with Information Security and other control functions to ensure delivery of secure solutions
- Keep abreast of new technologies and identify relevant use cases and potential benefits

Requirements:

- Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience stemming from a technical development background
- Industry experience within Financial Services Sector (Banking, Insurance, non-banking Financial Services) is ideal
- Strong knowledge of Java, HTML, C#, and other languages & development platform
- Very good knowledge of project management processes, PMP is preferred
- UAE National with Family Book
