About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a Guest Service Manager to join our Front Office department in Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

To assist in maintaining and/or develop agreed operating procedures involved in the Front Office and to ensure all Front Office employees adhere to the correct procedures as laid down in the operating manuals

To ensure a smooth and efficient running of the Hotel operation, ensuring that all hotel guests and visitors receive and optimum level of service and care at all times

To use discretion and tact when dealing with guest enquiries, problems or complaints in an efficient and professional manner without detriment to the Hotel and / or its reputation

To assist the Front Office Manager in supervising the Guest Relation, Club Executive, communications and the Front Desk operations

Dedication to quality, hospitality and guest satisfaction

To maintain and distribute the staff attendance summery sheet

To co-ordinate the introduction and training of new employees. The Duty Manager will also be required to identify training, plans them and deliver to meet needs to all colleagues.

To assist the Reception staff in their duties as required

To ensure that all reception staff are well aware / trained about their Manual and procedures

Supervise the cross training of staff from other departments

To report any hazards of health and safety to guests and staff to the Front Office Manager and take immediate corrective action as and when necessary

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Diploma or Equivalent related to the hospitality industry

Strong knowledge of the property management systems

Works positively with others and contributes actively to promote a healthy team spirit

Exceptional People Management skills, able to handle conflict

Excellent organization and management skills with a hands on approach

Communication skills, both verbal and written

At least 2 years experience in similar position in Front Office
