Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

General Insurance Underwriter

to join our team. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding and practical experience in evaluating risks for various insurance products

Responsibilities:



1. Assess insurance applications to establish suitable coverage levels and premiums.

2. Evaluate risk factors and decide on the acceptance or rejection of risks according to established criteria.

3. Perform detailed risk assessments and investigations to mitigate potential losses.

4. Keep abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure adherence to compliance standards.

5. Negotiate terms and conditions with clients or brokers as required.

6. Continuously review and refine underwriting decisions and processes to drive improvement.

Qualifications:



1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field

2. At least 2 years of experience as an Underwriter in General Insurance

3. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

6. Proficiency in underwriting software
