The General Insurance Officer is responsible for managing and administering all general (non-life) insurance policies and related claims. This role involves coordinating with insurance companies, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure adequate risk coverage, timely policy renewals, and efficient claim processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and process general insurance requirements such as property, motor, marine, fire, liability, and other commercial policies.
Coordinate with insurers and brokers for quotes, policy issuance, endorsements, and renewals.
Monitor insurance coverage to ensure alignment with company assets and risk exposures.
Review policy terms and conditions to ensure adequacy and compliance.
Maintain updated records of all active insurance policies, endorsements, and claims.
Assist in preparing risk assessment reports and recommend appropriate insurance coverage.
Facilitate claim intimation, documentation, follow-up, and settlement in coordination with relevant departments.
Ensure timely renewal of policies with no lapse in coverage.
Maintain strong relationships with insurers and service providers to ensure favorable terms.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal insurance requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification is an advantage.
Minimum 2-5 years of UAE experience in general insurance, preferably in a corporate or brokerage setting.
Knowledge of UAE insurance laws and market practices (if applicable).
Familiarity with various general insurance products and claim procedures.

Proficiency in MS Office and insurance management systems.
Ability to manage multiple policies and claims simultaneously.
