Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a luxurious beachside resort located on the west crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Assistant at the Engineering Department in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Assist Technician and Senior technician in carrying out all the repair needs and maintenance work on day-to-day basis
• Respond to all inquiries in a courteous and professional manner; provide information within the area of assignment as requested
• Support Technician and Senior technician in collecting materials from engineering stores and logs entry
• Keep work and equipment\'s in a skilled and professional manner as directed by Technician/Senior Technician
• Follow directions from Technician/Senior Technician for all work orders or room/site inspection and support them as needed
• Adhere to safe working conditions and highlight any issues that may lead to unsafe working conditions
• Collate all equipment\'s and clean the work areas to ensure it is in safe and tidy condition and inform housekeeping or cleaners if further cleaning is required
• Check all the operating equipment and necessary materials as are available and clean prior to the commencement of service as per directions from Technician/Senior Technician
• Adhere to personal hygiene and grooming standards
• Maintain positive working relationships with others; support Technician/Senior Technician to reach common goals
• Attend all training sessions and meetings on a consistent and regular basis
• Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management and reporting manager
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions enabling delivery of luxurious service to guests and in line with Jumeirah standard of excellence
• Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety and Environment procedures, instructions, and controls and local regulations

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience in relevant field (Carpenter, Mason, Electrician, Plumber, Painter, Refrigeration, Mechanical etc.) preferably within the luxury hospitality industry
• Higher Secondary School Certificate or Secondary education
• Computer Literate (Basic)
• Expertise Knowledge in relevant field (Carpenter, Mason, Electrician, Plumber, Painter, Refrigeration, Mechanical etc.)
• Proficient in English (Read/Write/Speak - Essential)
• Knowledge of additional language (Desired)
