Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our building material trading company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies. Experience in trading, inventory management, and familiarity with the construction materials industry is highly desirable. --- Key Responsibilities: Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and bank activities. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections. Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts. Process payroll and ensure accurate deductions and compliance with labor laws. Reconcile inventory records with sales and purchases; assist with stock audits. Maintain the general ledger and ensure its accuracy. File VAT and other tax returns in compliance with local regulations. Assist with budgeting and financial planning. Liaise with external auditors and banks when necessary. Support the procurement and sales teams with financial data and insights. --- Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a trading or construction-related industry. Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks or ERP systems). Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost control. Knowledge of local tax laws, including VAT. Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. --- Working Conditions: Office-based role with occasional visits to warehouses.
