We are hiring

General Accountant

to Join our team in Sharjah.

Roles and Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and databases. Prepare financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a regular basis or as required by management. Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights into the organization's financial performance. Identify areas for improvement or risk mitigation. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by providing financial information and insights. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations. Prepare documentation for audits and assist auditors as necessary. Process financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense reimbursements. Verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies. Utilize financial software and systems effectively to record transactions, generate reports, and perform analyses. Recommend improvements or upgrades as needed. Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with best practices. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance, operations, and management teams, to gather financial information, provide analysis, and support decision-making processes. Communicate financial results and insights effectively.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience:

2 to 3 years

of experience as General Accountant, preferably in the construction industry or a related field.

Other Requirements:

Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems is desirable.

Fluent in English
