General Accountant

Report To: Chief Accountant

We are strengthening our

Accounting & Controls Function

, a group-level team operating across RAK and Dubai and responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of our financial data.

Based in

RAK

, you will support the Chief Accountant and collaborate with the Senior Accountants to deliver disciplined accounting operations, a timely month-end close, and strong internal controls for a fast-growing multi-entity group.

What You Will Own

Daily Accounting & Controls

Post and validate day-to-day transactions in NetSuite with accuracy and compliance. Maintain revenue integrity through proper verification, reconciliation, and variance resolution. Reconcile AP, AR, and intercompany accounts with a rigorous, documentation-first approach. Process supplier invoices, prepare payment runs, and ensure correct allocation aligned with policies. Review petty cash and employee claims with a strong control mindset.

Cash & Bank Operations

Prepare and update cash-flow schedules and perform timely, accurate bank reconciliations.

Inventory & System Integrity

Support accurate recording of inventory movements (receipts, transfers, adjustments). Participate in physical stock counts and help reconcile results to system balances.

Fixed Assets & Payroll Accounting

Maintain the fixed-asset register and ensure accurate monthly depreciation. Prepare payroll accounting entries and reconcile payroll-related accounts.

Month-End Close & Audit Support

Execute key closing routines: reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, journal entries, schedules. Provide clear, audit-ready documentation for internal reviews and external auditor requests. Contribute to a disciplined, timely month-end close aligned with group standards.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Prepare financial schedules, variance explanations, and supporting analysis for management. Help strengthen accounting processes, documentation, and controls as the group expands.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (minimum). 3-4 years of solid accounting experience (GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, month-end closing). Strong Excel capabilities (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables; advanced formulas a plus). Experience with ERP systems --

NetSuite strongly preferred

. High attention to detail, strong ownership, and a disciplined, deadline-driven work ethic. Ability to coordinate effectively with teams across locations (RAK-Dubai) within a structured finance organization.
