We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable General Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in accounting, reporting, VAT, and UAE tax compliance, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day accounting operations (AR, AP, GL, bank reconciliations).
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Review supporting documents and ensure proper accounting treatment.
Manage VAT filings, refunds, reconciliations, and compliance with FTA requirements.
Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax legislation (basic knowledge is required).
Maintain accurate records and update accounting schedules.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management reports.
Coordinate with auditors and provide required documentation.
Support management with ad-hoc financial analysis and reports.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3-5 years of accounting experience in UAE.
Strong knowledge of VAT laws, UAE Corporate Tax basics, and compliance standards.
Solid understanding of accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas).
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
