Record daily financial transactions, including AP/AR, bank entries, and journal entries
Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of all postings
Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow)
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles
Conduct bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and tenant ledger reconciliations
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Prepare and track invoices, rent payments, and property-related expenses
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards
Support year-end audit preparation and coordination with external auditors
Maintain property-level financial reporting for multiple assets
Collaborate with property managers and internal teams to resolve accounting issues
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3-5 years of accounting experience (Real Estate industry preferred)
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
Proficiency in accounting software.
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
Preferred Skills
Experience with property management accounting
Knowledge of lease accounting and CAM reconciliation
Familiarity with financial reporting for real estate portfolios
