Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our team in Dubai. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with UAE VAT laws, preparing financial reports, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate must have sound knowledge of local accounting standards and regulatory requirements in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of all financial transactions.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.

Handle accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and petty cash.

Ensure accurate and timely filing of VAT returns in compliance with FTA regulations.

Monitor cash flow, prepare forecasts, and assist in budgeting processes.

Maintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciation.

Assist in internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies.

Liaise with banks, auditors, and government entities when required.

Support payroll processing and WPS compliance (if applicable).

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.

Strong knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, SAP, Oracle).

Excellent MS Excel skills.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.

Based in UAE and available to join immediately or within short notice (preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) are a plus.

Knowledge of UAE labor law and experience with payroll & WPS is advantageous.
